Spider Queen and Irenicus?

In bg1 at cloakwood, talking to that spider queen and asking why she is cursed for, She mentions she use to love someone called Jon Irecus (sound familiar) but now hates him, something to do with his wife or something (Ellesime?). Is this all true or is it just someone else with a very similar name?

I'm pretty sure it is Irenicus she mentions. Another thing I noticed is that Prism, the sculptor near Nashkel, is making a carving of Ellisime, since he declares his love for her right before he dies. Odd...
