I'm afraid I don't know quite what you're getting at, here. Care to elaborate? :)

Hmm

Doom: Hells last stand

An epic RPG in which you jump into the shoes and role of the last surviving marine of a colony of Marines on mars who have just looked into the abyss of hell, and had the abyss look back.

Travel through many different random created "MArtian? Dungeons in which nothing is as it seems, doors and walls are not what one should assume them to be on earth. Trust no man and kill everyone.

would be fun, but who would you do tasks for? I mean every rpg has to have those 100 little medial tasks

humm in the books there were a *few* people still alive like the rons that were escorting Fly for courtmarshall in the begining, arliene, the scientist, the 2 good aliens, then some poeple fly/arleine converted near the end. there are more people, but there are other quests that they did, like build the mail tube rocket to get back to earth :D

DOOM: Safeway!

Jump into an environment where fat old ladies coingregate in isles to block your passage! Where pimpled grocery clerks with foot long necks eagerly throw empty cardboard boxes before your feet! Where everything you want is out of stock, and every item that no one could possibly desire has an endstand blocking your escape! GIVE IN TO THE FEAR!

There! What did I tell you? It was clearly intended as a demo!

It's a nice concept, a Doom RPG, but I don't think there's enough content to make a full-blown RPG out of it. You could make characters and crap, but then it really wouldn't be Doom! An adventure-like Doom game would work, where you just wander around and find stuff out about hell and stuff. But I guess Doom 3 is going to be like that.

I'd not take into Doom's world.

But Quake II history can be used for it: It has comm, has the other crazymarineguys, has the cyborgs who may learn english and stuff... and there is a much more real ambience.

It will be much more as Fallout, and could be very better too... if worked properly.
