Help with downloaded portraits...

Hi all. Before now I have never seen a need to download new portraits into the game, but after having played the sola mod, I decided that he needs a better portrait. Also I would like some good portraits for male drows...anyways, I downloaded portraits in bmp format into the portraits folder, but in the game they only appear as a grey head with a question mark in it. I also tried right-clicking and saving picture, but that didnt work either. Does anyone know what Im doing wrong, or where I can find instructions or help for this kind of thing? Much appreciated.

Make sure the file sizes are right. (large is 110x170, small is 38x60)

Make sure they are bmp files and not just renamed to bmp.
