@mental_nomad: I'd really like to see more of your stuff. The haiku you posted in the old poetry thread (which I cannot find now) really had an impact on me, one which has stayed with me. I found myself in every line.

@Scayde: That was awesome, mi Corazon...you are an artist, and it shows in your poetry. You inspire me...inspire me to write.

Thanks for posting that again, m_n. I'm glad it is where I can read it now, whenever I want to taste of those things I am so familiar with.

How many times have I knelt at the river Styx, thristing for forgetfulness?

@mental_nomad, your work is amazing..wow....

I am not quite up to posting anything I have written at the moment, but this has long been a favourite :)

On the beach at night alone

On the beach at night alone,
As the old mother sways her to and fro singing her husky song,
As I watch the bright stars shining, I think a thought of the clef
of the universes and of the future.

A vast similitude interlocks all,
All spheres, grown, ungrown, small, large, suns, moons, planets,
All distances of place however wide,
All distances of time, all inanimate forms,
All souls, all living bodies though they be ever so different, or in
different worlds,
All gaseous, watery, vegetable, mineral processes, the fishes, the brutes,
All nations, colors, barbarisms, civilizations, languages,
All identities that have existed or may exist on this globe, or any
globe,
All lives and deaths, all of the past, present, future,
This vast similitude spans them, and always has spann'd,
And shall forever span them and compactly hold and enclose them

Evening all. Ugh, not sure about my latest offering in the DF thread. I was a bit tentative about posting it...

I agree with everyone else Tommy. Fantastic work...

@Nippy: Welcome, my friend. :) I read your post on the story thread...and I loved it. The struggle within Nippy is hypnotic...and familiar...

Nippy...your post was incredible.....I read it and see you ...a young man on the path to finding himself, questioning what he has been told to believe, and what he feels as the primal truth that speaks to his soul....It is a magnificent journey this path to self discovery..
Travel well my young friend...
*HUG*

@DW...Thank you for your post.........It is not just that which we write that reflects our soul, but also that which upon reading, speaks to us, and moves us...
Yours is a timeless soul.........

The Primal Flame

The Primal Flame

The swirling of Creation
Rises through the Sacred Night
Penetrating empty Darkness
Void seared by the Light

The primal He at ebb tide
Lending purpose and intent
Bringing form to all that ever was
Eternal Nothing rent

The primal She receives Him
Into her universal sea
Giving form to His design
All that is yet to be

The Sacred Flame burns brightly
The web of Time is lit
Searing through the Darkness
Shows beauty in Abyss

Time will stand as witness
To all things pure and true
I am the primal She
The primal He is you

I am breathless...in your words, everything is completed, Scayde. It is all there, in every word, and line...the whole of experience...

Thank you Chan....*HUG*I am so glad you like it. Your thoughts are so very special to me...but you know that...

I feel there is a primal truth in that we are all the Primal He, and the Primal She. The journey in this life is to descover that. When we do, it offers true freedom, and the ability to love without condition.....which is my definition of sacred...

*arranges rose petals, and lavender, and puts chilled wine next to the filling tub*
