I just finished BG2 and started over from BG1 with a Fighter/Mage/Cleric. I thought I would point something out that I just happened to stumble across. In Baldur's Gate
there is an artist sculpting something in a cliffside at the Nashkal Mines whom you can save from the bounty hunter Greywolf. What he says at the end is after you save him is: 'Alas, my work is complete. Take what you will from my possessions, but leave the sparkle in her eyes. O sweet creature, My effigy to thee is done. Perhaps our paths shall cross in distant Realms, and I shall find the courage to call thy name: Ellesime!' Ellesime is the name of the elf queen you save in the ending chapters of BG2.
Nice crossing over from BG1

I noticed a really good link from bg1: *Spoiler*

It is when you get to winspear hills and are tricked into attacking the knights, after you have killed them if anomen is in your party he will say that he recognises one of the dead knights as a brave man named Adjantis. Who was of course one of the possible party members in bg1. I thought this was a really cool idea as it was so subtle yet required a lot of thought.
Anyone noticed any other mentions/apperances of characters from bg 1. (Except the obvious ones of Minsc, Jaheira, Viconia, Edwin, Dyanahaier, Khalid, Xzar and Montaron) Such as Branwen, Kivan, Xan, Yeslick and Shar Teel.

just went on a web site which said about the npcs for bg1, there were 25 in total, whoa I missed a load, including kahlid and jaheira. i only knew they were from bg1 because the manual said so. I noticed that tiax was also an npc (he is in the asylum in bg2) as well. I also forgot to mention aeire's uncle quayle who was an npc in bg 1.

I'm not 100% sure about this one but the 'evil' druid in the druid grove is the same one you could get along from cloakwood in Bg1 - Faldorn.
