Is the vampirism thread worth my time? Or should I wait until there's absolutely nothing left to do?
By the way, I'm lvl 35 fighter, already head of redoran, mage's guild, fighter's guild, morag tong, getting ready to do the main quest, then what?
vampirism
vampirism
Yeah they was dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted
Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down that boogie and play that funky music till you die

There's a couple of sites in my Yellow Pages that have good vampire FAQs...the UESP and GameFAQs, I think. Basically, the way I see the whole vampire thing is this; unless you want to become a vampire full-time and slaughter everybody, there are three reasons for getting bitten:

and

The first is something you can only get by having Goldbrand and by doing certain things as a vampire. The last two can only be gotten through doing one of the Aundae quests, which is one of the vampire clans. All the other vamp rewards will disappear when you're cured, so there doesn't seem to be much point in doing them, except as a means to the above ends. I'm definitely going vamp when my current character is ready for it (i.e. can walk into the Aundae stronghold and not die while the bastards bite him, waiting to contract Polyphoric Hemophilia with 75% Disease Resistance...) just for those three lovely items to add to my collection.

You have a good point though, the original poster shouldn't wait till he's done everything else to become a vamp as it's impossible. I suggest going as far as you can with everything else but the main quest, and only doing the first 4 or 5 parts of the main quest.
Not wanting to spoil the main story too much for this guy who hasn't done it yet (could you put it in black or with a warning or something) but when you're cure of corprus, you cannot contract any diseases, including vampirism.Originally posted by SSRat
Can you still contract vampirism after you've become the Nevarine? I have 100% resistance to a lot of diseases.
It may be a moot point since i believe i killed all the vamps but still interested.
