Depends whether you fight the honourable way or the way that keeps you alive. Simply force attack the golems one at a time. Cast haste and use blunt weapons. One point to note. You can take the flail head WITHOUT setting off the golems!

You don't have to fight all the golems - the really big one can't fit out the door. It works best to use + blunt weapons - sharp ones seem to have no effect.

The I would fight them one at a time before they activate.

Kill the flesh golems first, then the stone golems. The stone golem requires a +3 or better weapon in order for you to do damage. Minsc or another fighter should be able to solo one with healer backup if he has the Lilarcor (two hand sword you get from the slaver quest).

Then after you you've done that, there should only be two golems left, the iron and the clay.

First, you can grab the Axe and the Hammer without activating the last remaining golems, identify them. The clay golem can only be damaged by blunt weapons. Use the Flail of Ages (if you already have that completed) and the Hammer you just found. And maybe lend Minsc a quarterstaff from one of your casters.

Now for the iron golem. It requires that you have a +3 or better weapon to do damage, and it has augmented defenses. Now use the Flail of ages, the Lilarcor, and then the axe (Frostreaver) you just got. You won't do much dmg, but he doesn't have that much hp.
When he uses his poison gas attack, just move a bit out of the way, it only has a 10 feet radius area of effect.

Have healer backup again or just chug some potions during the fight.

"What if i don't have Minsc, the Lilarcor, or even a blunt weapon to begin with?"

You don't need Minsc, that's just an example, just anyone who can fight. If you don't have the +3 Lilarcor or another blunt, you can use the Flail of Ages, if you only remove the flail head without the other weapon in the statue, the golems won't activate, giving you a chance to finish the Flail and coming back with it ready to fight.

Thanks guys! Image
By the way I attacked him with Flail of Ages, and a polymorphed to mud jelly Nalia with stone skin, mirror image, both hasted. Worked a treat, actually I dispatched the other golems right after I posted this, but was still stuck on the iron one.

Would love to have an iron golem on my side...

I agree regarding taking on one golem at a time. Traps work a treat too ;)

You can always stall 'em with summoned critters. Typically, I place three party members before the three treasure locations, position my minions in front of the golems, then plunder and run for the door. This usually works pretty well.

Or if Aerie or Anomen are with you get them to cast Sanctuary on themselves,so the golems wont see them.

Can't say I've used that tactic, but don't the golems see through Sanctuary when you steal the items?
