Horn of valhalla - spoiler

I am looking for the stones that you need to upgrade the horn. Anyone know where you can find them( Diamond, Beljuril)?

I think the Diamond is faily common, i've found a couple but can't remember where.
The Beljuril is found in Umar. Just north of the village is a man standing near the crossing over the stream. Talk to him and he will offer to sell you a secret. Once you get that go speak to a farmer who is standing near a bunch of Chickens, ask to buy one and you will eventually get the gem.

PS i've got the iron horn, but it does not seem to do anything. I equip it in the right spot and then go to use it but nothing happens other than it says, item drained. Is it restricted to Bards ? (I don't think so but I just can't seem to get it to work).

In standard AD&D rules the iron horn of valhall is only usable by warriors. I think.
everyone can use the silver and i think the bronze is restricted to warrior , cleric( and maybe rouge.)

I don't know what they have done with it in the game.

I thought that at first but I tried it with a few of my characters (including the Paladin), but still could not get it to do anything. I did not have a bard in my party, so thought it may be linked to that, being a musical type item.

Oh well it was a good way to blow 7,500 gp and a couple of gems.

The horn summons a berserker from the halls of Valhalla that fights for you for 1 minute

the silver horn gives you a 5 level warrior
the bronze a 7 level
and the iron a 9 level

It is an ok addition to the party
