Currently, I am going through Command & Conquer. Strategy does not come easy to me, so this has been a challenge to say the least.... :D

@Ty....Healing is good.... :)

Yeah. Ive said that in about 3 threads in the IWD2 forum. :D It is very good. However, in this specific battle, my opposition was immune to the skeleton's (with the two scyths for hands-forgot the name) damage. So that spell proved useless. Only 2 of my characters actually did damage to her.

Maybe, but a Bone Guardian can take a lot of pounding. Even if it ain't a zombie Lord. :D

So how far are you anyway?

Yeah. Im trying to figure out how to open some doors on that level, I assume Im going to have to fiddle around with the lighting gun and mirrors.

Still chapter 1 was awesome. And the opening scene to chapter two. It was difficult enough that I had to implement strategy, but it was easy enough so that I didnt get too frustrated, or frustrated enough to get angry. When I posted this afternoon, I was quite frustrated, but understandably so, as it was a main boss, so thats an excuse.

Sometimes in IWD1, the packs of creatures you faced were just insane, and sometime unbearable.

Getting into some of those rooms is a pain. Esp if you shoot yourself. Don't worry, I ain't gonna spoil nothin :D

I know the feeling about being surrounded. I hate losing my mage right at the start of a fight. They did a better job of making the enemy AI smarter this game. The fights are more challenging. And mages use some common sense with their spells :D

Right. Spoilers stink. :D I become very loud in the forums after Ive beaten a game, because I no longer fear stepping into a thread with spoilers. Right now, Im treading very lightly in the IWD2 forum.

I still have nightmares about that first Miconid myriad attack in Dorn's Deep in IWD1. Then those blasted 2 headed giants....they just took my back line to school. There was no way to prevent being surrounded. My front line did fine, but my long range died on the spot. I hated that. I always had to run around in circles with my long range to evade the attacks from the bloody assaulters in the back.

NGH! Ticks me off.

But, while there have been situations where I have to protect my back line and run around to evade in IWD2, those times have decreased greatly.

Myconids didn't bother me much, I just sent my theif in to scout, saw them, and shot fireballs ahead of my party. It wasn't cheese, My theif told me they were in those places :D I also went very very slowly. Hell, it became a habit, in IWD2, I barely move, regardless of the fact that it seems they fixed the issue where you could take an enemy down while his friends just stood there simply because they couldn't see you :D

Well Myconids are certainly easy individually, but when they came in in that horde, at that time, while I was dealing with the 2 headed giants (theyve got a name, I just dont recall, its been a while and Im so bad with names) it was just catastrophic. Then upon entrance to that drow area. I thought I stepped into the superbowl audience, except everyone in the stadium happened to have a bow, and a red circle under them. :D

Oh I realized that. In the Shaengarn bridge, I tried to lure the frostboars out without the cleric/warriors attention...And I thought I did, then all of a sudden I hear these spells being cast. I think: What in the world? I was being careful! :D But I know better now. :D But sometimes you can lure half of an army away. Thats a big help.

Oh I move a lot in IWD2, hence I load a lot. :D I usually send in my fast barbarian as a scout, to see if trouble lurks. If it does, he runs back to the group which is then ready to fight.

The absolute most annoying thing that used to happen to me from time to time would be fighting someone, and one of my character succumbing to fear. Without fail, they ran by every enemy on whichever level I happened to be on, and sent them all straight back to my main group :D I hated it, esp in the beholder area in BG2  :D

Yeah. I know what youre saying....But in BG2 thats exactly what happens. I remember plenty (And I mean plenty) of incidents in the underdark where I get upset that they become confused or afraid, and they just go whichever what way they can causing havok everywhere. Sometimes I dont even notice it, and I look up, and I either see and think 1 of 2 things
1) Ahhhhh....the battles over...now I need to rest.
*hits rest*
*Voice says: You cannot rest while your party is scattered*
"Scattered?" I say.
*looks up*
*realizes a character I cant see is getting injured*
"Oh no." I say.
*hits load button*

2)Ahhh....the battles over. Phew. That was a hard fight.
*words pop up on screen*
*Daeson takes 25 points of damage from drow priestess*
*Daeson takes 15 points of damage from drow warrior*
*Beholder: Petrify*
Now here I am.....
Whoa! Wait! No!
*clicking furiously trying to find battle*

*Words pop up on screen*
*Daeson: Petrified*
*Daeson: Death*

*hits load button*

Ive been there
