Abandoned Character in Spellhold

Post by Nighthawk »

Is there any way to keep from having to abandon a character in spellhold (other than only going in with 5)?

I tried to bring them all out by adding and removing, going back to move them up to the party and continuing like that. But when I got past the tests I couldn't go back in to get the extra.

You can enter the Spellhold with Yoshimo in your group. He will leave your group in the spellhold and it will be impossible to recruit him again (for he will die, hehehe).
Then you can let Imoen enter the group and won't have to let anyone behind you.

What I did, was put imoen in my group and i kicked out a party memeber, then i got the party member back, and kicked imoen out, and she said she's meet me at the Copper Coronet and then she disapeared, and found her way out of spellhold, and to the Copper Coronet, hehe.

Oh, so this strategy works? I kicked out Yoshimo very early - disliked him enough to have Nalia instead...
Now I have thought of replacing Nalia with Imoen - but entered Spellhold without thinking about having only 5 characters in my party - so I thought that Naila would be left in Asylum... That was what I had heard...
But if it's as you write, I can get Imoen later in Copper Coronet - but I suppose she will loose a lot of experience, since it will be quite a while before I can return there?

If you acutally want to use Imoen in your party, she MUST do the Underdark with you, as that provides the most exp in the game.

Well, I'm supposed to liek my sister - so I ought to let her tag along. It's an RPG - which means it has no likeness with reality... Image
OK, so if I don't want to leave Nalia in Spellhold I will need to revert to an earlier save and boot her from the party before entering Spellhold? Or what happens if I juggle Nalia and Imoen back-and-forth for a while and leave Nalia instead - can she find her way out of the asylum, as Imoen seems to be able to?

Only Imoen can find the way out.
All others stay in Spellhold.

Thanks, It's not so much to redo from a save file in Brynnlaw - just before entering Spellhold. But I hope that if I dump Nalia in Brynnlaw she will not be stuck there?

Well, I guess Nalia (who always just stay put when you dump her) will open a Red Cross facility in late Galvena's Festhall...
It's too much to redo to revert to before going to Brynnlaw - and I don't intend to have Nalia join the party anymore. But since it's an RPG I thought I should care for her in the best way...
