Spoilers:

Actually User, in one of my games, I never used the reflection shield to complete the city. But that was partly because my party was fairly high leveled since I did all the quests in Amn/Athkatla, not WK though. I had Valen so it was much easier. :p Also the priestess wasn't that hard, she never even summoned the avatar. :D But of course in my current game, with relatively chars, I've picked up the shield. (now in asylum)

The cloak doesn't give you the power to summon the avatar... Bhaal does. ;)

I meant the avatar of the Shark Father. ;) I killed the priestess so fast it didn't even summon it.

Which components did you install? It is part of the Additional Encounters component. Spoilers

The Sahauagin are tougher. They use powerful weapons. The priestess that carry the Cloak is much tougher since she summons this minor avatar. The bolts the Sahagin shoot are REALLY damaging. I know from experience. ;)

I installed all components in the mod. Probably didn't notice anything different due to over use of chain contingency cheese. :D

Do you get the same amount of experience for killing 'em as before?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Yes, iirc they still give you 3000 XP each.
They're rather cheesy with an insane THAC0 (for level 13 non-playing characters (archers with called shots)) and deal out massive damage (around 15-20 per hit on core) with stun bolts.

massive spoilers....

wes boosted them to level 13 or so, so you cant frag grenade with g deathblow them to death.....

called shot at high level will also drain strength by one point per hit...instant attribute drain, and regen does not help...use reflection shield and stoneskins...

the avatar uses a swallow ability, just like maze... spell immunity abby should protect you....not sure.....

I always used the Cloak of Sewers to turn one of my chars into a Mustard Jelly, who's got 100% Missile dmg resistance, and got him to draw fire while the rest of my party concentrated missile fire. That tactic killed all of them without much pain, though sometimes he'd transform back to human form and die instantly (30-40 dmg on Insane, yikes). Sometimes he'd die way before he's normally supposed to transform back, and I thought this might have to do something with their Mustard Jellie's poor strength and that he was simply drained to 0. But are attacks really supposed to connect if you're immune to them, I thought not.

I think they do connect
spoiler

Once on Ascension I had a Barbarian PC face the archer cambions. Barbarian resistance, the Belt of Inertial Barrier, Defender of East Heaven and a Hardiness made gave him over 100 Missile resistance; and began wacking at them taking no damage whatsoever. But after some time I noticed I was not hitting. When I look at the character sheet screen, I almost choke when I find my Thac0 in the forties! Guess they used a lot of called shots, that affected me even without taking damage.

I think the effects always occur if they hit, even if you are resistant, and they WILL hit unless you have extraordinary AC.
