Valen here thief skills

Whats wrong,
Valen nog has 95 in lockpicking and detecttraps, and still she can't pick some locks, or detect some traps.
While Imoen has lower stats, she can find all locks and traps in the game (including ToB)
Whats wrong?

In my experience Imoen's thieving skills are not good enough for all traps and locks. However you can boost them with rings, amulets and potions.
I think you need around 120 in lock picks and detect traps to be on the safe side.

True, but this is the place where I visit all the time,
and there are some Valen users here, maybe someone knows it, maybe not.
It was worth the try

Each trap and lock has a statistic requirement for the Thief regardless who he or she is. So if a lock has a 100 skill, the Thief will need a 100 skill to pick it. Numbers vary in difficulty.
