Aerie's Wings
Aerie's Wings
Does anyone know if there is a way to get Aerie her wings back?
Thanks

I found this topic from way back and as you can see this was "Tigerfire's" one and only post......so I thought to myself....this lad/lass posted ONE question here on the board and no one helped him/her out......so I will.....(I feel like I owe it to this guy/gal).....Originally posted by Tigerfire:

He posted it in october. Its his one and only post. He's not coming back. He's probably searched high and low in BG2 to replace poor Aerie-fairy's wings. He's hopelessly in love with a PC game character (K, I'm looking at you re: Jaheira ). He probably (hopefully) died from a broken heart.
Why would he want to help Aerie get her wings back? Whiney cow. I'm sure Claire Rainer could help her out but I just don't care.

Well what can I say.....my sincere intention was to help this poor soul Tigerfire....no one had answered the question for 3 months so out of the kindness of my heart I just had to....(also the fact that it is a legal way to add to my "total post" count without spamming like others around here)
As for Jaheira....hopelessly in love???? Whatever gave you that idea????

I'm surprised this didn't end up being a side quest in the game. I guess the developers thought coding a winged elf would really be a drain on resources. Or perhaps they intended it for the expansion pack. Seems they could have drawn her with wings, but perhaps used a model similar to the succubus from PS:T with her wings tucked in.
The only romantic interest characters that really seem to have side quests associated with them appear to be Jaheira and Anomen.

if anyone were to look in the 2nd ed phb they would see that her wings should indeed be restorable by the little spell regenerate... she would have to survive a system shock test though, so the belt of fortitude would have had a use here, if the spell was made to work how it's surpose to anyway

Karembeu, no Ubik and Grunt have nothing to do with this. I just make sure I thank those who try to help.
Now as for the Regenerate spell. You would need at least a 14 level priest with a wisdom of 18 or greater. Now most parties did not have this. Also the spell would have to be programmed into the game. Then there would have to be a whole quest to find someone who knew the spell (For those that couldn't cast it). I'm thinking that they ran out of time and left it out for possible use in an expansion or BG3. If they do have an expansion and they do it like they did TOSC I will be highly pissed and probably won't get it.

Thank the Dreamers... If it wasn't for them we would still live in caves.

Well hello Tigerfire! I thought we'd lost you.
I'm glad someone has got the balls to prove me wrong. Especially since Ubik took Melosh's
