This is mine
I always use the top right corner for games, and the downright for internet use.
I once made a screenshot of the desktop of a friend of mine, and then made it his background.
Then i moved all of his icons to his my documents directory.
You can guess what happend
[EDIT] Mmm, can't seem to attach the file, it's to big.
Anyone has any ideas how to make the file smaller?
I tried making it smaller, but it still comes out 146k large
[EDIT2] Removed the background.... will post them all together as soon as I figure out how I can make it smaller

I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.
This topic is so utterly uninteresting so it's fun, good idea Bloodmist!
Here is my plain and minimalistic desktop at work, the picture is shot by me, it's the vulcano Gorely's(sp?) fabolous exposion caldera at the Kamchatka penisula.

LOL...CE (if you are on a Win98 clone), just save it as a JPEG with Save As in paint (open the drop down to select file type)...then click 'options' at the bottom right...you should get a bar to chose how high-res it is

Love and Hope and Sex and Dreams are Still Surviving on the Street
@Frogus: Thanks, as you can see I deleted the old post. I just rescaled the image to 65% instead. I'm om 2k at work, btw.

I have a natural instinct to collect things, and then leave them where they are. On my other PC I have literally run out of space on the screen, so as I have to delete soemthing every time I want anything new...the problem is I can never remember if what I am deleting is of massive internal importance to the workings of my machine So it is pot luck...apart from with the snooker games

When I saw Dottie's desktop, I was struck by how much our desktops actually tell about our minds and personalitites
@Frogus: That's funny, I seem to have a natural instinct to throw things away Sometimes even when I need them, like important papers, unpaid bills or clothes I just bought. However, whereas I am a horrible slob in all respects (ask Dottie what my flat looks like) I keep obsessive-compulsive order in both my computers.

@Sleep, what doesn't kill my computer makes it stronger.
@CE, of course, my room is the physical incarnation of my desktop - complete, with real paint, real snooker, real David Bowie , and real endless meaningless forgotten documents and music-players of all sorts...

I should probably remember to post the picture this time....maybe
Erm, this is mine, enjoy...I like to be blasphemous in work
Dottie, that is about the same as mine at home, I like unclutered desktops, minimalism rules!
Frogus, it's a bad idea to have that many desktop items, it slows your PC down because it has to load all of them icons up at startup.

I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Wow! I thought my desktop was crowded
something funny goes here
@Sleep: Yes, the same is true for me, I do find the system somewhat redundant.
@Frogus: You are not the type that increases screen resolution every time you're running out of free desktop area then?
And dont ask me about Caernorhabditis flat, I have no idea whatsoever why she still expect me to remember details...

But not completely empty...did you notice the small coloured squares? Those are my post-it notes to myself, containing a lot of information about all my projects and such... So it looks more empty than in actually is.

@Caernorhabditis: Seeing and describing... very different things.
And that sounds like my life, not my personality. But perhaps you claim one is the cause of the other here...
