So, what is your favorite party for BG - not really from a powergaming standpoint (yawn), which one struck you as the funniest or most interesting?
I'm rather enjoying Jaheira's constant grousing about the leadership - with a 20 rep, and her as the only neutral, the rest (Khalid, Minsc, Dynaheir and Imoen) are pretty happy...
Funniest party
Funniest party
I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.

Can't really see much humor in parties in BG1. There just wasn't enough dialog for the party NPCs, and virtually no party interaction. This changed drastically with BG2--where the addition of, say, Viconia and Jan meant that sooner or later, the latter was bound to start irritating the former with his whimsy.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Despite the lack of interaction in BG1, the NPCs do talk quite a bit. To be more specific, they repeat the same things over and over. Some of it is funny, but it depends on your individual taste.
Minsc never ceases to amuse me. "Camaraderie, adventure, and steel on steel: the stuff of legend! Right, Boo?" Xzar is also pretty funny. "Stop touching me!" Skie's whining is also funny because it's so ridiculous. "Oh, no, I broke a nail." I don't like Edwin, but one of his lines is one of my favorites: "Again you disturb me!" Tiax and Quayle are funny in small doses, but I don't think I'd care to listen to them for very long. Alora's "Happy, happy, joy, joy" is also ridiculous, which gives it some entertainment value.
Unfortunately, the people who wrote the dialogue for BG1 apparently believed that making the NPCs cranky or kooky was the best way to give them "character", so you can't expect a lot of depth from them. The best way to bring them to life is to pretend they're real people and use your own imagination to create their facial expressions, their emotions, etc. Ultimately, which ones you enjoy having with you really just depends on which of them you like the most, for whatever reason that makes you like them.

Put Khalid and Quayle in the same group.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I think VonDondu is right on. Imagining the party interactions and intentions makes the game for me, and the little one liners helps facilitate the imagination of their personalities, and the one liners are more entertaining that imagining the whole thing, as you must do in IWD (though I certainly dig IWD).
I though I'd put a word in for Viconia when together with a male character (its worked best with me with an evil or neutral male): "Male, fetch me something to eat." Oh Viconia, I'll get you something...
I find Garrick to add a lot of fun to the game: "Life is glorious", "With godspeed," flattery to female characters ("never have I met a more kind and caring person" or the like), or when his morale fails he sings "brave brave sir Garrick, sir Garrick ran away".
And of course the elven f/t Coran is pretty cool.
But I find Safana's voice to be just too much, I mean get a 900 number and stop adventuring

Tired of working here wanted a holiday was thinking of retiring probably going to die. Time to move on under down... down down.

Anybody heard the credits then?
Tiax is funny although I have to agree, not in your party where it's just a little to much.
I also love when Dynaheir and Minsc discuss Boo.
"You just don't understand the bond Boo and I have."
Also because of Xzar's Evilness all the other party members respond very cool.

"We fight dogs and we chase cats..."
Chorus: "...ain't no trap can stop the rats!"
"Got no plague and got no fleas..."
Chorus: "...we drink poison, we steal cheese!"
"Mess with us and you will see..."
Chorus: "...we'll put poison in your tea"
"Here we fight and here we'll stay..."
Chorus: "...WE WILL NEVER GO AWAY!"
