Morridor's Box bug
Morridor's Box bug
After I successfully let Aola open the box and let the demon out into the various planes, the journal says that I need to talk to Mar about all of this. However, when I went to the place where Mar gave the box, he's no where to be seen, and I can't find him anywhere. This has happened every time I played the game, and I have the patch and Platter's fixes both installed. Has this ever happened to anyone? If so, what's the solution, if there is one?

Yeah, the same thing happened to me: Mar turning hostile and quest not completed. I remember Mar said something about not leaving the Hive with the box, but when I talked him I had already returned from Carceri, so that might be it. The next time I finish with the box, I'll speak to Mar immediately.

Has anyone ever opened Moridor's box?
Spoiler....
I opened it right away for kicks and a bloated nipperbo looking thing attacked me. It was really easy to kill though. I thought that was pretty lame for the much feared box. Although on the other hand meeting the real Moridor's box fiend later was quite a harrowing experience!

Strange thing. I had Moridor's box in my inventory. I was selling some stuff to a merchant, and found I had this ruby. I did not know where it came from. I found in the walk through that it is connected with the Moridor's box quest. The thing is, the box is gone out of my inventory. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
I don't think I have finished the box quest.

I did exactly the same thing. Completely forgot about the 'do not leave the Hive' warning, and now have no box and only a ruby.
Should I be concerned? Will this affect me in any way?
I've noticed every time I put on an item that should increase my armour class by a certain number, it DEcreases it (so my AC is currently 0 :S ) and have been wondering whether that's a symptom of the box's curse, or whether I'm being an idiot and that's actually supposed to happen in Planescape: Torment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! (is it possible to console-command the box back into my inventory, somehow?)

Update:
I've discovered that, in this case, you need to go back to The Hive and talk to Mar. You're presented with a new dialogue option ("I've left The Hive with the box and nothing happened") which causes him to run away screaming that there'll be a demon after you, and removes the annoying box quest from your journal.
I've yet to be attacked by a demon, but probably will at some point. I'd prefer that to having a dead-end quest stuck in my journal any day.

The lower your armor class, the harder you are to hit.nogoodreason wrote: I've noticed every time I put on an item that should increase my armour class by a certain number, it DEcreases it (so my AC is currently 0 :S ) and have been wondering whether that's a symptom of the box's curse, or whether I'm being an idiot and that's actually supposed to happen in Planescape: Torment.
Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person. ~Chanak
