i found the blade, the ring, and the robe--but the oracle wont acknowledge it, she just tells me to bring back the chick and the ice blade, but i cant--the chick's dead, did i do something wrong or whats the deal?

You just have forgotten to give the person you're supposed to rescue her ring. Doubtless you've found the ring with Divine Intervention on it on one of bodies.
