patch and problem after paying fine

first,i have tried to get the patch for this game. downloaded 0ne and two from bethesda. when try to install top bar goes all way to right but bottom only goes to 33 percent. cant get out without aborting. suggestions? two after paying my fine to a guard, i find that i can no longer wquip my sword. also shield shows on stationary figure but when moving cannot see anything including hands. walked up to a person and left clicked no attact of any kind. help. i have matrox dual head 450 video but dont seem to have any new drivers avail for it suggestions??

Do you still HAVE the sword ?
It could be the sword was stolen and the guard took it. Probably not it but I hope it is since that would be an easy fix. As for the patches I had the same deal, if you got tribunal the patches for morrowind won't work because tribunal patches your game.If not I'd recommend reinstalling the entire game (dun forget to reboot after uninstall) and then try the patch.

yes i still have the sword. it shows ok the paper doll shield shows too. even with sword and shield not equipped cannot see hands when moving,and cant do unarmed attacks
