slight spoiler but nothing new to the boards

i have a party saved about to continue but i want to change the party members. Now i know that it is possible to summon party members but is that only associated with beginning a new pc starting with the beginning of ToB or will i be able to take my character through the final battle and then be given the opportunity to restructure my members at the beginning of the ToB. If not i would have to summon the characters i want through console which i don't know how to do but i am sure there are posts previously on the boards telling me how to do this. What do you guys think. Will it be possible??
