saves

Post by Moonmaid »

Ok, this will need a bit of explanation, but try to understand. So, I've played the game through once with a invoker and NPC's. Now I'm playing a multiplayer game and I have such a great assasin that I would like to move her to my single-player game for ToB. So how do I do it? I already moved my save to mpsaves and tried to import her but it doesn't work. It works, though, when I tried the same thing with my other mage. (i.e. I moved my multi-player mage to my single-player game) What to do!!!

It should work if you do the following:
  • Go to the mp game and export the character from the character screen.
  • copy your single-player game into the mpsave folder.
  • start the perviously copied game as a multi-player game.
  • delete the leading character, than create a new character and import the perviously exported one.
  • copy the game back to the single-player save folder.

You can import characters from character files, not from games (I think). You can start your Final Save game (in single player, you do not need to copy), export the character, quit the game, and then import the character into your multiplayer session.
Note: among your character files should be the file CHAR1.CHR (CHAR2.CHR, etc., if you created more characters). This file is an automatic export of your protagonist (and other your characters, if you created more characters for the game) immediately before the final battle in the Hell (more precisely, when you used the first Tear of Bhaal on the gate).
