Auril's Doors - Stuck!

Auril's Doors - Stuck!

Hi all - I just got back into IWD II and I am stuck. I just cleared out the druids guarding the gate to Andora and all the rest of the stuff on that map - including gathering all the components to fix the gnomes airship.

I go to the icecaves - kill all the barbarians and Aurilites in the beginning of the cave - then I can't go further - none of the doors will open - what am I missing?

I played through this area a few months ago with another party - but I can't remember what I need to do next. :(

To open the door......

Wander around killing everything in the halls. There is a medalion or something that you need to be able to open the doors here. I can't remember if it is on one of the creature, or in one of the various containers scattered throughout the area. :)

Thanks - I will try tonight - thing is - I have already killed everything I could get to including the doom guards - I didn't talk with them first and I wonder if this is the problem.....

Have you tried looking in each of the containers?

Major Spoiler :
The medallion 'Aurilite Holy Symbol' can be found when you pull lever which got rocks stuck on them. From the level starting location go north until the path end into a south facing path. You'll find the levers which is guarded by IIRC 3 priestess. After you pull the lever, the rock will fall down and break some of iced statue below them. Go to the statue and check there. You should find the medallion. IMPORTANT : To open the doors, the char who open the door must wear the medallion !

All set - thanks folks - I really need to have my head examined - I didn't realize that the northernmost passage kept going around to the south.

Anyway - problem solved. :)
