Wolfwere, the reverse of werewolf. Meaning its a wolf that can take the shape of a human. They were used in abundance in BGII:SoA in the forests and Windspear Hills. They are typically easier then werewolfs, but they are trickier.

Oh, actually looking at the word I know full well that it's a monster (it was one of the factions on Werewolf Island in TOTSC IIRC Tyb, rather than in BG2 where it was only werewolves). It's just that even though I seriously considered W as a possibility, it just didn't register

No. There were 2 places they were in packs. There was the forest that leads to Suldenesselar, where there was a gathering near some cage and some mini-plot that Ive forgotten by now.

And also in the dungeon of Windspear hills, where you find two knights, that want your help, but just as you start to think about helping them, they slip up and let out too much information, transforming into their true form, the wolf.

No G.
No A
No I

I got disconnected in mid-post! Anyways, yes. Thats what Im looking for.

The umber hulk is a creature games LOVE. They are noted to be in BGI, BGII, IWD, IWDII, NWN...Im surprised they dont make an appearence in Morrowind. Regardless, these beasts live underground or dark places, and confuse enimies so they can have an easier time feasting on them.
