How do you get to other cities

When I leave the grave yards, slums or any other part of the city the map comes up and then I try to click on one of the other cities like WHispering hills but I can not get there. How do you get to these other places?
It seems as if I am stuck just walking around the towns of Arnetha. ( I know I spelt it wrong )
What am I doing wrong. If you could email me that would be great.

Have you tried going through the City Gates? My first game, when I tried to go straight from the Slums to outside the city, I wasn' table to, until I went to City Gates. Then you can leave from there. Try that

You MUST go through the City Gates area whenever you want to visit a NEW "town" on your map. To avoid later frustration, note this example:
1. You want to go to Windspear Hills (you haven't been there before) from Akathla - go to city gates and leave for Windspear Hills.
2. Now you are in Windspear Hills and you want to go to Umar Hills (you haven't been there before) - you must return to Akathla, go to city gates and travel to Umar Hills.
Once you have reached a specific "town", you can return there from everywhere. Example: You can travel from Windspear Hills to Umar Hills directly.

talking to NPCs can also be important. In the city gates themselves, there is a guy who will put Trademeet on your map, once at Trademeet Cernd will put the Druid Grove on your map.

I went to the city gates before leaving Athkatla and I was able to visit any other city(as long as it was a reachable destination and it was on map).
