Displacer Beast it is.

A displacer beast is like a panter, only one big difference. It has tentacle like arms that form on its back. These things are what makes these creatures tough. They lack hitpoints so that makes them easier to beat. But what those tentacles do is, there is something at the end that causes the creature to have an uninteruptable feat of turning invisible. They can remain invisible for however long they like. However, when they attack, they become visible, so the only way to defeat them is to take damage from them. They tend to like the cold climates. These cool creatures are D&D based, but have only their appearence in one game, and that is Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance.
