i love Dwarfs, i mean Having Aerie in your party without having her whining all the time is great (ok so she doesn't do that with all the other no-human races)
but i just like the Dwarf.

Elfs/Half-Evls are also nice.

Humans are also great dualclassing is just to powerfull.
and everybody loves to be to powerfull right

Drow Elves all the way baby! High Dex, High Int, 120 foot infravision. (depending on which rule set you go by... 2nd ed. Drow handbook states 120', 2nd ed. Elven handbook states 90' for the Drow)

Of course, only those of us enlighted enough to have forsaken the spider-@#$%#! Now, if they'd only let us play Drow in this game!

My favourite is human because they can be everything and are the only able to dual class. Second are elves for the bonus in dexterity.

My favorite is human, because they are the only class that can be a sorcerer.

My second favorite is the half orc. I love the idea of a big drooling mongrel being rewarded by the high elves and given the amulet of seldarine.

By the way, when I solo'd with a Berserker I killed the elves I was supposed to help; all except for Elhan. I even took down the priestess what's her name.

Tiax was an npc in bg1

Still warms my heart to hear "Tiax rules all!" Ahhh yes the good bg1 days... how I miss them. Except I had nothing to go except my memory when I had to find someone after doing their quests.

Halfling
