A zombie is another creature from the undead family. In DnD they are middle level. They have an off chance of level draining you, but thats not their goal. Their goal is to eat you.

And staying on the whole undead trail, the shadow is among the undead family. The shadow is really difficult at early levels, but increadibly simple on the medium levels. They are immune to many weapons...especially non magical ones, so they are one of the hardest to kill when your group isnt developed, but once you find nice items and get turn undead levels high, it wont matter whether there are hundreds of shadows around you, as turn undead will kill them in a snap.
