Tashia's little pet

For some reason in my current game, Tashia's--well, wasn't it a leopard?--charm simply vanished from her inventory. I hadn't used it, decided to do so, and it wasn't around. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, without any luck. Does anybody have a CLUA code for it?

(Actually, that was only one of two problems. The others involves some people working for her late lover, who accost the party. Evidently the leader is trying to speak to my PC, but I get the message about his being "busy.")

About the guy not responding.......that is (I believe) a well known bug....
And I asume u mean they guy who "reclaims" Tashia, right??

As for her item......I have no idea.

U'd best ask at Tashia's discussion forum, since they probably got the better (and faster) answers...

I always delete her pet via sk; takes up valuable quick slots.

No use for it anyway, at least Boo squeaks.

Silly question, you do have the latest version 2.05c?

Yes, I've got 2.05c in place. As for the pet--losing the slot doesn't bother me that much, since it's largely a matter of convenience: I can always pause the battle and switch something out.

As for the conversation, it's a well-known bug? Thanks. I hadn't seen it mentioned in the documentation, but then, users are always wrong about such things.

The part when the guy "reclaims" Tashia was IMo allways a bit buggy.

Sometimes he even didnt show up in my games, which caused me too reinstall everything over and over if I wanted it too work (not too mention editing with SK). And reinstalling can be a real pain in the ass...

Just post at the Tashia forum, or do a search, im sure u will find an answer there

Although Tashia is worthy of all ure effort

She's one of the better romance options. At least better then Aerie or Viconia IMO.

Just between you and me, I think the romances are the most ridiculous thing I've seen in some time. What do I need with a little bit of stereotyped romance conversation, when I've got the real, living thing at home, complete with variety and surprises, in the shape of my wife?

Im not saying that it can be compared with real-life. Far from it. I know the depths and hights of a relation also.....and it can be damn threatcherous

Sorry, but it doesn't really affect me much one way or the other. This is the 21st century; I've been pretty broadminded through the last eight. What you and your virtual fans do in your respective spare times is entirely up to you.

I'm wondering, how far did you manage to proceed (in the romance, fights, anything) before getting stuck?

I was/am still in chapter 2, when that dwarf/child event occurred. At this point I can drop Tashia from the party, but in that case I would probably drop most of the current quests for a while and move ahead to get Soulafein, whom I've never used in a party. Or, I can stick it out, and hope that somebody figures what to do about Tashia.

I still haven't got the dwarf/child "event"... and I was wondering if it was romance-related, quest-related or random...

I hope it's not chapter-related, because I'm in chapter 6!
(And so, if it's chapter-related, I'm not going to see it at all in this game... thus never discovering if I have the same bug).

My guess is that the concurrent-dialogues-trying-to-start-at-the-same-time-leading-to-stutter-walk bug is not specific to any mod/installation sequence. It can happen any time. I experienced the problem a couple times (and it was before installing Tashia) and usually the solution was to reload and try to have things happen in a different place, time, sequence or party configuration...
(Sometimes using clua to force that)

Only that I cannot experiment until those dwarves show up!
It would be good to know the code or requirements to spawn the event...

...Or how to kill the event before it even occurs. I've tried removing Tashia, moving to another part of the city, then reinstalling her. It doesn't matter. Those damn dwarves and that child follow us.

The problem with the 'blah blah appears busy and cannot talk to you' occurs when someone is given an action that sets their interrupt to False. (SetInterrupt(FALSE) is a script command used on the target to prevent them from being action overriden by another script, or to stop you from talking to them and preventing them from doing whatever actions they were assigned in their action list (que). Unfortunetly it is often used in conjunction with global variables, so simply setting someones interrupt back to True will not fix your problem (though there are exceptions to this). However if you can find the global variable that determines if the SetInterrupt action occurs or not, then you can reverse it with a simple script, or by deleting the variable itself, since undefined variables have a default value of 0.
