Cannot understand how they're making patches

Post by Loredweller »

Definitely the last Morrowind patch (1.2.077, still without Tribunal) is made very slapdash. Now, i've done that Huleen's hut in Maar Gan without asking Edwina. You wouldn't believe she greeted me at my first approach after that with the question abou the matters as if she had given this duty already. Well, it hapens often enough and several quests have been fallen out for Legion and other factions, however this time she just never sent after that potion to Sadrih Mora. So Skink (or whatever is his name) is still making the potion, you know. No potion, no duties it is... It is not the first time it happens in patched version, however this is the first time it cuts off the whole branch. :( I guess they have put some practicant to rewrite the scripts while working on Tribunal. :D

I had exactly same problem. In the end, I had to use console command.

I have UK version of game, but using US patch. When I used European patch, it didn't even load the logo.

The problem is poor dialog control - they forget to check for certain conditions - you can see this when you open up the dialog in the Construction Set. I ran into a similar problem with the Gateway Haunting after loading Tribunal. *sigh*
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

It is exactly what i mean with practicants. It happens to professionals, too (i definitely know, who better :D ), altogether then it happens. There it's done all the way. They just have taken all the best to Tribunal, and what's left that we got
