If you have summoned any creatures and left a area with them still there, it will count against your limit. Sleep three times in a tavern and delete the area files in the cache folder, or go back to every place you summoned some creatures at. When you go in the area, the creature will be unsummoned. For some reason, some summoned creatures will not not unsummon in certain area's unless your in the area when the summoning spell runs out.

What I have noticed during the game though, if I summon something in one area. Leave for DAYS and then return - they unsummon just as I return. This is weird - cause like I said it could be days and days after resting/travelling etc.
If my game is leaving summoned creatures all over the map and not unsummoning them until I am there to see it then this could be why.
It must still be a bug though.....

I don't remember this happening my last time through the game...oh well. I can't remember the last place I summoned - I think Spellhold and I am now in the Underdark. Looks like three creatures for the rest of the game then...

The game has a counter going for how many allys with gender SUMMONED are present.
If it is five you cannot summon anymore.
Sarkyn (I believe) came up with an idea to change the gender and I went ahead and created a script based on this idea.
Never tested it but I am sure it works, you would need to run the script on a character than put your summoned creatures in view of that character. When you see the word "Summoned" appear above the summoned creatures heads, that means the gender has been successfully changed to NIETHER.His use for the script was going to be for a solo sorceror if I rember right, who relied heavily on summoned fodder.
If you want the script, email me or post and I will send it, you could use it just this once to get your summoned number up to the limit as well.

Does it wipe what out? I have some items(lots of em, parts of unfinished items ect.) stashed in various chest in docks and slums to give room for more important items..
And what are files in what folder there is area files in cd 2, 3, 4, 5 folders too
And yes I slept 3 times in row at inn and removed those from main cache folder(Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\cache\data) and it did not remove that thing..
My summon limit is 2 . I assume I have summoned those limiting mobs back in chapter 1 Irenicus base.
Pls help
I wonder how it is not a bug that you have to remove files by hand anyway and even that does not work
