I heared that it's part of a removed quest

Exactly. The part with the minotaur and his slain group was supposed to be a quest, but was never finished. There's a couple of those around in BG and BG2... ;)

There are more quests, like the boss of Torgal, the guarded compound and the mindflayers in the sewers that I would like to see completed

But you have to admit, the fact that things happen peripherally around your party that you have no involvement in makes the game seem, well, a bit more realistic. As though the world didn't exist solely when you and your party NPCs took action. :)

I managed to save him once, but nothing happens. No dialogue or anything.

There's gratitude for you. No manners, those minotaurs.

Same thing with that Guarded Compound in the Temple district, have you noticed? You enter just to be friendly and pay your respects, and the owners threaten you in a superior, scoffing tone. Then they go upstairs, after first leaving a demon to analyze your body parts. There's just no more courtesy in the world, I tell you. :(

I'm tellin' ya, there's no more respect for an adventurer these days. Never paying attention to OUR needs. To OUR feelings. =sniff= Why can't all those wizards and demons be more like Noober? At least he's considerate and interested in you. :(
