A bard is a class you can choose in any D&D based game. They are basically a mage, with a few more fighting abilities, special music abilities, and more limited in the spells. Close enough. Its Shar-Teel.

Shar-Teel is an evil warrior woman, who hates all men. Theres a story behind that and all, but I dont remember it. She can join your group in BG1, and she's not that bad for your group, but not the best.
