Halfling Portrait

Post by Astafas »

I've been home ill for a couple of days... Today I spent a few hours modifying another another old BG1 portrait. I always kind of liked this one, but honestly, how fun is it leaving Candlekeep looking like a hundred years old when you're supposed to in your twenties?

Like the last portrait I modified, I've taken great care to assure it fits well in style with the other BG2 portraits. Up to you to judge whether I succeded or not... All feedback is appreciated.

For me they work perfectly,
nice work, I realy like this one.
And I totally agree that some of the portraits make you look to old.
I always wondered why their aren't more portraits available in BG1 and 2.
And almost all of them are used by NPC's (I believe the only one that isn't used by an NPC is the one of the half-orc)
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

Thanks a lot, friend Stilgar. I agree with you when it comes to to few portraits. I think the portraits are extremely important - they are what give you the inspiration to play a certain character. The portraits used by the NPCs are forever connected with that NPC in question and the portraits available on the net seldom fit well in size or style...

I once created a 6people MP-party by simply selecting random portraits from a site, and creating a character that goes with that portrait and try to roll-play that character
(I used different leaders for every quest).
It was a lot of fun to play!
I had this realy smart and wise dwarf, and a stupid but stron elf.
I can recomand everyone to try this sometime.
