Oh my, glad to have you back Beldin.

What have you missed, Georgi by an hour or less. Check the other tavern thread. Ode has moved to his campus but managed to spam now and then before it happened. Eery, is really busy of late. I think he got promoted to a much more busier role in Helldesk.

Oh and here is a classic, Fas has developed a sort of online relationship. Not bad for someone who shuns hugs etc.

. A shame 'bout Eery - but I know how that is. We'll have to wait and see about my own future... I have a offer for a very highly paid new job - but I have yet to decide if the increase in money is worth the increase in workload...

Thats always the problem isn't it.

I'm thankful I don't have to make such serious decisions like that yet.

re - "my job" - such decisions are never "easy" . I like lots of money just like everybody does - but I like a nice and easy life even more - I think. Or not ? It's a real shame that we can't see into the future... **sighs**

It's probably not my place to ask, but do bear with me.

Are you comfortable with your lifestyle and financial future, we all are greedy by nature but how much would it disrupt your lifestyle and family life. Its one of those hypothetical questions that you can never really answer confidently, just go along with the ride. You'll make the right decision in the end.

@Tam: I'm quite comfortable with my lifestyle - right now - BUT - (here goes...) - I've been in a hotline for 10 years now ... I can probably bear it for another 10 years...

(you could say I "get off" on pain....in others

) - but will there be a good offer for a change THEN ? Or is THIS the "once in a lifetime" chance to "make it big" ? - THAT is the question I'm currenty pondering.... **sigh** Only future will tell us... but at the moment I'm tempted to stay and wait it out...maybe wait for the next chance...IF it comes...( I'm still not too old, so I can wait for at least 3-5 years...) .
It's just that my current workplace is a cosy little job with more than enough freedom (whenever my (l)users are quiet...

) ... and I don't WANT to work MORE right now...**sighs again** ....in the end it will be a "out of the moment" decision - but I'm putting it off for as long as possible...

I see, its that fear of monotony. Nothing I'd hate more then to end up like my uncle. A mechanic who has done the same boring work for around 20 years. However thats often how life works.

Correct. I'm extremely glad that helldesk in itself isn't really a MONOTONE job...
