Playing with User's sunfire cheese

Post by Ian Kognitow »

I've lurked here for awhile but suddenly felt inspired to contribute a bit after reading User's fine Cheese guide.

A lot has been made of the cruel sequential sunfires and the lich killing sunfires - something which I've certainly found to kill most anything. What I haven't seen to this point is this little tweak on the concept for those not playing with multiple mages, [best used w/sorc]:

- equip sorc w/staff of magi and cloak of non-detection (just to be safe). Have a spell trigger prepared w/3 sunfires. Rest so spell trigger is ready and more sunfires are available. Go invisible and walk up next to your nearest pack of drow. Or improved Bodhi for that matter who I also fried. Do the chain contingency while paused trick. load w/sunfires, or delayed fireballs if they catch your fancy, set to see enemy. Chain contingency will go off. Immediately set off the trigger. Chain contingency while paused all over again if anything is still there. So yeah - up to 9 sunfires/delayed fireballs within a round by one sorc. Fun.

best of all, it completely bypasses magic resistance...try on a non red dragon, like shade or black dragon...you might not kill it, but it sure will be hurt and annoyed at you...run back to waiting summons outside of its field of view..hehheheh
They call me Darth...

Darth Gizka!

Muwahahahahhahahha!!!
