Post by lonely wolf »

i have a 7th lvl cleric.
when i try to summoun a creature (2), it summons it but when i try to summon the other monster (raise undead IIRC), the game dosen't allow me to summon the second one.
my sorcerer can summon alot of monsters in one time, why is my cleric having problems doing that?

What's his wisdom and charisma? Clerics use these 2 abilities above all else.

Actually only Wis. is needed for summoning (as for cast any other spell).
Raise undead is lev. 3 spell, so you need at least wis. 13.
My cleric has Wis. 18 and Char. 6 and don't have problems in summoning.

Should be fine, I was wondering if the cha might impact on the power of the summons - like with turning undead. obviously not.

I was wondering about this too, because I remember both my Cleric and Wizard could animate dead 3 times before for a total of 6 monsters, but for some reason now I can only summon 1 for my wizard and 2 for my cleric and I don't believe i have removed any wisdom boosting items from them.

Edit: O.o Nevermind, for some reason now i can summon 6 monsters agian now.

Edit 02- O.o ;;; for some reason after i rested I can only summon 4 monsters in total now (2 each)

the reason for not being ablr to summon more monsters is that for some spells, the game counts the monster as "summoned" until the duration of the spell expires, wether it's dead or not.

So if i walk out of that map, don't animated dead monsters disappear?
Another strange thing was I went out of the temple with 3 monsters still inside, i slept outside and then when i went back in i could summon 4 monsters, so unless one of them died somehow, I would have 7 in total. I also went back to where i left the monsters and they were gone.

The counting of summons is somewhat bugged during area transition. To prevent these problems you can kill the buggers off before departing.
