Helmets on spelcasters

I was wondering this for some time now in NWN,
and I have the same question in IWD (II) (that I like much more than NWN)

Can spellcasters (sorcerer/wizzard) wear a helmet without penalty?

Yes, but most helmets have no AC bonus. There is one intersting helmet for spellcasters in the game btw.

but in NWN almost all helmets have spellfailure%.
i guess they don't have that in IWD2 (yet...)
