Cloudkilling Dragons???

Cloudkilling Dragons??? WTF???

I've heard it a couple of times on these forums: Cloudkilling dragons is cheesy. Could someone tell me why it is cheesy to cloudkill dragons? (as oppossed to any other creature in the game.)

It depends on how you do it. What most people refer to as cheese is when you toss a Cloudkill when the dragon is offscreen, and the AI does not have the dragon simply move out of the cloud, as it would normally. So it simply dies a slow agonizing death, while you watch from a distance. That's the cheesy way to do it.

Thing is..

I tried it on the shadowdragon some months ago, and he attacked me as a result, so i don't se how this could be so bad.
Blah... nothing for me... :)

If you have Weimer's mods installed, the cloudkilling-while-offscreen trick won't work on dragons.

LOL, the CW run out of members if you whack enough of them? Never heard that one before but sounds great.

That's almost enough reason to play BG2 once again. :D

Unfortunately I have already paid the fee in my current save, sounds like I need a restart.

@Guys, I've removed a group of posts that went way off topic. I think you know the GB rules quite well, so I don't need to tell you have much things were violated with those flames about cheese and other posters' personalities. If anybody has problems like this, take it to PMs. If these problems are put up on the boards again, Buck will most likely be handing out temporary bans until cooler heads prevail.

One final point: this is a category to discuss SoA. It is open to cheese, and there have been plenty of discussions along these lines, before. If that really irks anybody, you may want to consider posting elsewhere.

EDIT: Confirmed by Buck, with both participants noted.
