Phew! Finally got it to work. Seems that I wasn't alone with the unzipping thingy. How I wish there was an idiot proof method!

For anyone facing the same problem, I used the "extract" function in Winzip instead of just downloading the file and clicking on the Dungeon.exe file inside the BG2 SoA directory. After extraction, I went into the SoA folder, found the Dungeon.exe file and hey presto! No "dialog.tlk not found" message.

When I used Dungeon Be Gone with Weimer - item upgrade-v26 Jassy's dialog became item stats. i was still able to use jassy though i didnt see any of his own dialog

Sounds like you might have done something inbetween like, say, installed the Bioware patch or a .tlk-overwriting mod.

mmm installed the 2 tob patches, then dungeon be gone, then the item upgrader. thats all i installed

Hi Taco!

Perhaps, you can try un-installing the recent patches and installing them again? Works most of the time. Please back up your over ride folder before doing so in case something fouls up.

well i tried unistalling both of em but that didnt work so i unistalled all of it. wich did work

and im not using that item upgrader, to much cheating for me
