I had the crashes with BG2. I Had them bad (15-30 times a day) Until I removed one of my 128mo ram and found out it was a cheap brand that didnt wor too well with my Motherboard. Now its working perfectly. No more crash.

PIII 733, GEForce, 128 MB RAM, VIA Apollo with 133 FSB. I had two problems: 1) the movies would not function with the 133 bus speed (kicked me back to the desktop); 2) the game slowed waaaaay down against dragons. I disabled the movies so I missed the ending.

Athlon 750Mhz, 256RAM, GeForce 2, 15Gb HD... nice ride and never had any problems. Did experience a bit of slowdown whenever there are a slew of enemies and magic spells going on at the same time. Haven't overclocked the system yet, but will after I get another fan for it.
