Firsty

Welcome to the GB forums. :)

Now for your question:

As far as i remember, you cannot harm the statues. You can only defeat them after they turn hostile. The statues will attack if you take the items from the tombs without giving something back.

It appears to be an old known bug then. I though it was fixed with the latest patch :rolleyes: . Anyway check this thread out.

Glad to hear someone else is enjoying the game

I've had mine for about a year, but didn't start playing it until a couple of months ago (too many other games on my shelf). I'm having a blast with it. Honestly, I didn't expect much since a lot of people were bashing it on the forums, but I'm glad I decided to give it a try.

I still haven't finished it, since I have started various times with different characters. My latest is a solo cleric/rogue/fighter, and so far is the most fun. Also triyng paladin/cleric with a rogue sidekick and that is fun as well. Eventually I'll pick one or the other and push them to the end.

Things I like:

* Good story.
* Nice graphics
* Good implementation of 3edition DnD rules
* Turn based combat ( I love this! )
* Huge game. I only emerged from the dungeons up into the city heights after what seemed endless dungeon crawl. Very cool feeling there.

Things I don't like:

* Buggy. Game hangs on my system sometimes (WinXP/GeForce 4)
* Can't select your feats
* Not a lot of feats implemented
* No two-weapon fighting feat
* No bard or druid classes
:)

You need the speed utility though. Without it, the game can be verrrrrrry slow.

I bought the game a while later after it was released, that's more that a year ago.

As i always say about this game, in order to like it you just have to remember that the game is not BG of you will be dissapointed with it. Also too many people dumped the game when it was released because of bugs. The game was practically unplayable before the first couple of patches.
The bottom line is(IMO), the developers made a decent try on the 3rd D&D but they could do better(many things left out) if they didn't rush things in order to released the game sooner. But still the game can be fun if you tackle with it for a while.

yep....

Personally I agree with you all and the fact that there are those annoying bugs does kind of take away fromt the experience but overall its good. I'm a big fan of RPG games and this one is just as good as the next.

Thanks for all your opinions! :)
