how to? :(

Post by mrbeefcake »

I have finished BG2 SoA twice and am now starting a wizard slayer with the intention of dual classing it to a thief later on; To solo SOA, as was suggested as one of the soloing options on the gamebanshee bg2 site.

I have started and am faced by a dire problem, when I rest I only regenerate one hit point every 8 hours, because I have no spells and seeing I have no one else in my party the only way i can survive is by constantly spending my money on healing potions. Another thing to note I have installed both Ascension and Redemption mods..... could this be a bug --- or is this a fatal flaw faced by most solo fighters early on.

please reply soon .... I am totally stumped :/

If it's one of your first times through BG2, I'd uninstall Ascension. Ascension is a mod made for the hardcore BG2 players wich find the game to easy. It creates an enormous amount of difficulty and som elements of roleplay. If you found it too easy the first time, stick with it. If it was too hard, uninstall it.

I don't know what redemtion is, you'll have to wait for members who do

To get fully healed when resting, enter "Options" -> "Gameplay" and check the box called: "Rest until fully healed"

This will make you sleep until you are healed. Sometimes that will make you sleep for days at a time but that's the catch ;) :)

Well if you have to heal 40 hp per Character, that's what happens...

Resting Until Healed

If you have one of the regeneration items (Ioun Stone, for example), just be sure to put it on before you rest.

the only way to escape this is by pumping up constinuton...... the more const the more hit points u regenerate by sleeping...... and BTW 15 days is nothing.... I once slept with a solo sorc and I woke up a month later

I'd just use the rest until fully healed. The game's not about finishing it in the least amount of days so why care? ;) :D

If you still don't like it, if you have a lot of money just go to an inn, or get healed at a temple.

Bart Simpson has a great walkthrough at http://www.gamefaqs.com, which gives a good account of where you can get all the items.

it doesn't matter how long you rest, it's not about finishing the game in a certain amount of days.
if you get like a year or so to finish it, show me the screenie plz :)
