Something other than Balduran Helm at start

I exported my character from BG1, a ranger guy...

When I got to SoA I expected to get the Balduran Helm in Jon's room like always....but this time I got Kazgorath's Claw.

Now when I replayed BG1 I roleplayed my character and never got the Quest about the helm and cloak because I didn't just wander nilly pilly into peoples homes and such. I didn't have either the helm or the cloak on my character when the exportation happened after the fall of Sarevok.

I was wondering perhaps.....If you complete the game and get a character exported with just the cloak of balduran as the only kewl item on them...mayhap that will also appear instead of the claw or the helm.....?

Just wondering but I like getting things legally....the cloak isn't as good as the helm in my opinion...but at least the cloak can be used by mage types and the helm can't.

On a side note. When I played BG the first time many years ago before Amn came out or even ToSC I played through in a roleplaying fashion and sort of imagined my original character having a romance with Imoen. When I exported said character into SoA I felt dirty after finding out she was my sister....Divinly relation and all. Am I a bad person cause I like my sister?

Then I remembered Zues married his sister Hera or some such...so maybe relations aint that much of a big deal when dealin with tha divine? Im so baaaad....
