It's my understanding that to change Sarevok's alignment, you have to choose NOT to force him to take an oath when you recruit him...correct?
My question is...is it possible to rectify this after the fact, with ShadowKeeper or otherwise? (A Global variable or Affect that can be 'undone' or unset)? I'm intrigued with the idea of redeeming him, but didn't realize the oath was a deal-breaker at the time...
Much appreciated, thanks!
Sarevok alignment (SPOILERS)
There may be one or more variables to change, depending on what dialogs you've had. Have you had the "So. I yet remain at your side...." dialog, yet? At the very least, you'll need to delete the global variable, SarevokOath, with SK.

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Ah, Sojourner...when I first discovered these boards so many months ago, you already had a long history of solving people's BG2 technical problems. My thanks for your tireless efforts on these boards. ^_^
I did indeed have that conversation, and told Sarevok in a nutshell "your destiny is your own to choose, and there is always a choice other than evil." I found the SarevokOath variable (which was set to 1) and set it to 0...you're saying I should delete it entirely?

Yea - it never gets created if you don't make him take an oath.
