From what I can gather romances in the game are influenced by these factors:
-only humans, 1/2 elves and elves can have a romance. (think of how funny it would be to have Anomen flirt with a female half-orc or gnome )
-your alignment does NOT have to be compatible with the npc.
-only Jeheira, Viconia and Aerie are available for romance for a male character, Anomen for females.
-Your charisma attribute (not sure about that one. Can a character with a 3 charisma still have a romance?)
-Once you reject an npc she/he will never make advances again.
Anyone know of anything else? Can you confirm/deny these?
Is love really blind?
I'm pretty sure there's a Imoen romance as well. And Jaheira actually made a few more advances after I told her to shut her trap. I guess she's desperate. Charisma stat does not matter. Alignment doesn't matter. Dunno about race, but I don't see why they would make that matter when alignment and charisma are already ignored.

I looked into the 'dialog.tlk' file (as I wrote in another thread), and in there the four characters are mentioned with whom a romantic involvement can occur. They're the well-know quattro of Jaheira, Viconia and Aerie for male characters, and Anomen for the females.
I wonder why women only get to date Anomen ... before solving the problems with his father, he's more annoying than fun to deal with. Why wouldn't characters like Haer'Dalis and Minsc be available to female protagonists??
