loss of experience in chacter import

Post by maedhros21 »

I just installed bg 2 and imported my character from bg1, when i did this it imported her with the exp, cap of 161,000 still in place but i had gotten more experience in bg1 and had even gotten another level. Is there any way to get this missing experience back again? I had downloaded the patch for bg1 to lose the original expperience cap

Hello. :)

I think you can use ShadowKeeper to add the missing exp.

This is more of BG2 question, so you might ask Buck (or fable) to move to the BG2 forum section.

When inporting a char to BG2 the XP is set to a max of 161000 XP and a min (I think) of 89000 XP, if you have anything outside these limits your char will be set to the closest of those limits......

The only way to get more than 161000 XP in BG1 is by cheating so if you did that it's only fair :p , if you some otherway lost XP then by cheating then I don't know what is wrong.....
