ever made a item with constant effect dispell?
you can no longer cast beneficial spells on yourself, like the cast when used of chrysamere, but it makes you immune for any damage over time spells...like all the poison attacks by dagaroths, trap poison, etc...
they do the initial damage, and is dispelled by your constant effect item...and of course taking off the item allows you to cast beneficial magics...constant effect items you made or looted still work, of course...
but if you consider that almost all the heavy weight damage spells used by you and monsters is all damage over time spells, this little item, make into a combined restore health and dispell, only 1-3 points needed makes you practically immune to magic attacks...
now i have had the idea before about making a attack spell exquisite ring, like a nasty damage health....
cheaper to use, since packaged with the attack spell is a fortify skill, enchant, so after the first shot, your enchant skill goes up, for a few seconds, so the number of enchant points necessary to use the item should drop....
but it did not work when i tried it, so i tried with raise attribute intelligence...
that works...
it took 124 points of stored mana to operate a damage health, damage strength, damage speed, and damage will power and luck and fortify intelligence 100 points for 5 seconds...
but after the first shot, if i keep shooting within the 5 second "boost" phase of the item, it only costs 2 points to use!!!!!!
so instead of a 400 point charge ring having 3 shots...
it has 400-124=276/2=138
so it actually has 139 shots....
one more thing, damage attribute is just great, just so much fun...make the item above, and try nuking some ash vampires...they stop moving after a few seconds, as their strength and speed drop down to nothing...blast away with a damage health or move in for hand to hand kill...just keep an eye out on your own stats, as so many creatures have the reflect spell or ability...
like the cheese???

i am beginning to think i am very close to the ultimate power axes and swords and force rods...
(get the warhammer 40000 references???hehhehhe)
see, my experiments with the rings of self boosting leads me to believe the ultimate enchantment for a daedric battle axe, or what not is a enchantment that not only inflicts damage, but enhances the user attack abilities and attributes, so it not only becomes cheaper to use, but your damage per hit is enhanced...combined with a good built in attack spell, single hit kills should be normal, not the exception...
like a ebony staff, for carrying a big charge....
damage health, strength, speed, agility, will power and luck...
cast chameleon for 0 seconds, and fortify strength or intelligence...
strength will make you hit harder, but int boosting will make the item cheaper in expending charges...
or put all of them in.....hehheheheh
the chameleon gives you one critical attack per 2-3 strikes..one of the most amazing discoveries i have made about enchanting weapons..
but like i said, attribute damaging is amazingly useful....unlike burden or silence or paralysis, you cant wear it off...
and it has the same effect as combination burden, and paralysis...if you got the damage magicka spell, the poor target cannot even cast spells anymore...
