My personla favourite is the wail of the banshee. It is far from teh best in a combat point of view, but I like the thought of a mage raising his voice in such a dradfuöl cry his enemies will die instantly from pure fear. I also like the finger of death, and it is far more useful than the WotB. But not as appealng to my imagination. I tend to use mostly summoinng spells though, since I find these the most effective when you aim to whipe out your enemies with as little effort as possible. What spells do you prefer?
