Which Race for a Sorcerer/Wizard?

Human is a little "boring"...

Maybe a Gnome is more fun....

Any comments?

if you are trying to multiclass him in the future, use the half-elf (for both), an elf for the wizard, or a gnome for a wizard illusionist.
if you are not trieng to MC him, try the gnome for the wizard, or anything other then half-orc for a sorcerer! :)

If playing a Wizard, I find Dwarves to be a very good minmax choice. You get +2 CON, which helps your low Hitdie and your Concentration skill, +2 to saves, which is always good, and the -2 to CHA doesn't really bother you much now does it (I like playing grumpy dwarves though)? Also in NwN, I haven't noticed whether dwarves move slower (like they do in Pen and Paper), so that point is moot as well.

Since I like my sorceror to be able to sneak, I like halflings. Nothing like blasting someone with a cloudkill, disappearing into the shadows around the corner, and watch them slowly get wittled down :D .

Small does have its advantages for spellcasters however: the only weapon you're going to miss is the quarterstaff anyway, and I doubt you'll be in melee if you can help it. For the rare times someone's attacking you, the small +1 helps.

If you're a wizard, elf is nice though: not only is it your favored class, but your weapon proficiencies allow you to use a bow, which works much better with haste.
