2 questions One about the Unseeing Eye and 1 about windows ME

Well when i got the quest to kill the Unseeing eye(more or less) i just went and killed the beast and every one there as i always do

. later in the game however i returned and went into the lower reaches and heard the little sob story from the Diseased Ones and was touched(and it felt good). any ways i wanna help em out but know how it is i'am to complete the quest with the beholder dead and any help on this matter would be appreciated and yes i'm willing to cheat but im not it will work because you're supposed to use the rod once if i can remember correctly.

As for my second question i was wondering if any one has windows millenium and whether or not caused issues like slow loading and choppy game speed with bg2 as i am curious as to whether its my comp or Windows Millenium.

HELP WOULD REALY REALY BE APPRECIATED.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly... but in order to complete that part of the unseeing eye quest you need to go inside the temple behind the diseased ones and combat the demon there by pelting it with healing spells.... Though you must have already done this if you obtained the rod...

Anyways, once you have done that talk to the avatar that appears and, then again to the diseased ones. You should get a cut scene and you will all end up inside the temple, where you have to persuade the diseased ones to invoke their god....

Although admittedly, I have always completed everything down there at the same time.. I don't know how leaving and then returning, once the beholder is dead, affects things....

Regarding your technical problems, try downloading the most recent patches (from both Bioware and Balderdash); this solves most of the problems with ME and XP to the best of my knowledge. You may also want to check your game's config and frame rates.

I'm not sure how you managed to kill the Unseeing Eye without the Rift Device, but that doesn't really matter. Here's what you need to do:
- Talk to the Diseased One outside the entrance of the temple
- Enter the temple and deal with the demon inside (heal it)
- An Avatar will appear, talk to him and agree to help
- He will give you half of the device
- Exit and talk to the Diseased One outside the temple again
- Go back to the Unseeing Eye chamber
- Go to the right most chamber
- Check the centre of the chamber (there's a container there)
- You should find the other half of the device
- Once you have the two half, they will combine and form the device itself
- Return to the temple and talk to the Diseased One in front of it
- You'll be transported inside
- Convince them to summon their God
- Then give the device back to him - you don't need to have use it first

If you can't find the other half, then just edit the Rift Device in, the code is: CLUAConsole:CreateItem("misc5z")

About Windows ME, I think it might be your setting, since I'm running ME as well and the game run fine. You might want to check the recent patches, as dragon wench suggested.
