Peasants Hate me! Help!!!!
Peasants Hate me! Help!!!!
So here's the story, short and bitter:
I was just about done with Chapter 3 when my computer got stolen (along with my saved games, natch). I started again and in a misguided effort to speed through the game (having ignored Xzar's quest the first time like a dummy), I killed Xzar. The problem with this is, even though I used Cheats to bring back Xzar and start the harper's quest, the peasants in the Docks are are hostile to me, and my party starts automatically attacking and killing peasants, thus reducing my reputation.
Does anyone have any ida how I can change the baldur.ini file or any other file to make the peasants indifferent to me, once again!?
This is definitely making it hard or impossible to complete this game.
Thanks!

Not really. All you need to do is make sure they go and attack or do whatever manualy... While your in the Docks District. Other than that, yes, you will lose rep if you attack peasants, and that's why you have the useful little skill horror, and if you don't have that, buy the magic ticket in the Government Distict and then you can just cast hold person on the guys. It won't fail, people in the Docks District are about as strong as a rat.

You can get rid of those hostile peasants without incurring reputation loss by summoning a demon. Since the demon is hostile (red-circle) it does not count as a party member so you will not lose rep points.
However, you need to make sure that your party is Protected From Evil. One good way to do this is to send everyone but the summoner into a building or at least out of the demon's sight. Then you only have to protect the summoner.
Another caution is that the demon really is uncontrollable, so it might kill people you don't want it to.
Also, of course, this is a pretty evil solution, so don't do it if you like to roleplay.
